photo blogging

Hi everyone. I've decided to create a photo blog here on my website. I was previously doing this over on my Digital Railroad archive, but it wasn't really what I was going for. This here is an idea inspired by the White House Photo Blog that TIME Magazine operates. I'm not trying to copy them, just use them as inspiration.

Hopefully I will post regularly, and hopefully you will find it interesting. If not, at least I hope I find it interesting. The plan is to show you a little bit of what it's like to be a freelance photographer going to all these weird and tightly-managed events here in Washington, DC. At the very least, this is good motivation to shoot more interesting pictures than the staged and scripted ones we're supposed to shoot.

Here is a photo I took the other day at the Pentagon, my first time there. That's a whole other story entirely.

It's going to be a busy week here in the nation's capital, with two Republican presidential candidate forums, the Mukasey confirmation hearings, an appearance by Hillary on Wednesday, and the SCHIP vote (probably Thursday). Stay tuned!
